About Kalpa Bhadra Centre

The centre resides in a large double-fronted 10 bedroom Victorian town house which was acquired in June 2007. It is easily accessed by bus or train and has ample on-street parking. Having been tastefully restored it is now a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing place to be. Currently home to six residents, several guest rooms are available for those wishing to enjoy a weekend break or longer. Visitors to the centre can enjoy our lounge/cafe area, bookshop and Meditation room. The beach and surrounding hill-side are only a few minutes’ walk away. There is plenty of space for quiet walks and contemplation.
We offer a range of classes from introductory to advanced, as well as day courses and retreats.
If you wish to visit, please contact us on (01492) 878778.
We are a registered charity (charity no. 1048944) and depend on others to help us spread Buddha's teachings. Our aim is to help people find inner peace through meditation, compassion and wisdom, thus increasing peace throughout this world. To do this we need to make our classes and events available to as many people as possible. If you would like to help in any way, please contact us.
If you regularly attend classes, an ideal way to support the centre and to get value for money is to become a Centre Card holder. £25 a month by standing order enables you to attend all general programme classes at the centre and its branches and to attend day courses and other special events at a reduced rate. Your regular contribution adds to the stability of the centre and its activities. Details are available upon request. Please contact us.
